Transforming lives through books for establishment of environmental libraries: The Hub Karen and Chemichemi Foundation’s joint initiative
January 2023: The Donate@Book Drive kicked off on December 31, 2022, and lasted for a month until January 31, 2023. During this period, we received an overwhelming response from well-wishers and the Hub Karen shoppers, who generously donated a total of 2,017 assorted books. On February 8, 2023, we were able to hand over the donated books to four deserving schools: Karen Technical Training Institute for the Deaf, Kasarani Treeside Secondary School for the Deaf, Dagoretti Special School, and Waithaka Special School to support the institutions to establish environmental libraries.
